Dear Exellency!

My name’s Colonel Sándor PELLEK MD, PhD, KLJ Grand Prior of Hungary, the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lasarus of Jerusalem. I’m working in Hungarian Defence Forces, Military Hospital Budapest, as chief of Thoracic Surgery.

I bought a book, in 1982 and read in the book about the famous Indian poet, Rabindranath Tagore. „When the poet came to Hungary in 1926, he was forced to go to Balatonfüred. Tagore was on a six-month lecture tour in Europe at the time, and he fell ill in Vienna. He wanted to go home immediately, but the famous Viennese heart specialist, Professor Wenkebach, recommended that he travel to Budapest, where Professor Korányi would examine him. The world-famous Hungarian doctor suggested that he come to Balatonfüred for at least a short time, where he would be treated in the sanatorium.”

I’ve been in India in 2018 (Golden Triangle), before the trip I found out about life of Rabindranath Tagore. Nowdays-as Grand Prior of Hungary-suprised that 2021, anniversary year.

160th anniversary of his birth and 80th anniversary of his death. It is also a transcendent engraving in numerology and a rare moment in poetry as well.

Presenting Rabindranath Tagore’s life of a famous Indian poet and organizing a poetry day (Rabindranath Tagore Poetry day)-even internationally- would be of great help in treating the social depression the caused the COVID pandemic.

The Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lasarus of Jerusalem, Hungarian Jurisdiction would be happy to support and help organize a cultural day that also strengthens the friendship the two poeople.

Győr, 15.01. 2021.
